The Friends of the Rancho Bernardo Library are starting the year with more exciting musical events at the library. The first Discovery Concert of the year will be Spirit of India on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 3 p.m. Ahaana will present a compilation of classical and folk dances from India, exploring the history and current practice of the art forms.

Later in January, jazz ensemble Blurring the Edges will take the stage. The quartet is composed of local musicians Peter Sprague, Fred Benedetti, Tripp Sprague, and Mark Leighton, performing jazz influenced by flamenco, Celtic, samba, Latin, and Indian music. The jazz concert will be on Jan. 22 from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m.
