cm_snowday3The Rancho Bernardo Community Council (RBCC) and Rancho Bernardo Recreation Advisory Board (RBRAB) co-hosted the community’s annual Hot Cocoa with Santa and Snow Day in the Park in mid-December. RBCC provided free hot cocoa, photos with Santa Claus, cookies from Seacrest Village at Rancho Bernardo, face painting by Cathy Beauty Wellness, arts and crafts, and more. RBRAB provided a winter wonderland of snow, a bounce house, and food trucks. Residents and friends enjoyed hitting the slopes.

The event included a gift drive for Polinsky Children’s Center, which provides temporary emergency shelter for children in need. The center serves more than 300 children every month. This year, the Rancho Bernardo community collected 214 unwrapped gifts to deliver to the center for the holidays.
