Making Connections Through Dance at Trilogy Ballroom Dance Studio

At Trilogy Ballroom, it’s easy to step right in. This social ballroom dance studio is open for dancers of all experience levels to take the floor, from new dancers to seasoned competitors. “Our main purpose is to show those at any level of experience that dancing can be learned at any age and is so much fun!” shared Co-Owner Kimberly Callahan. “You have to give it a chance, because the payoff – not only to have a new personal goal, but the amount of amazing people you will meet along the way – is priceless!”

Trilogy Ballroom offers private lessons, group classes, and practice dance parties for singles and couples. No matter your age or experience, Trilogy Ballroom’s friendly, dedicated instructors will help you learn, enjoy, and improve at the foxtrot, salsa, rumba, cha-cha, swing, tango, waltz, and more. “Our students range from elementary age to 85 years young and everywhere in between,” Kimberly said. “We also offer youth rates for private lessons and wedding packages for those getting ready for their big day.” At Trilogy Ballroom, quality is more important than quantity, and beyond learning steps and patterns, students are able to take their skills and apply them outside the studio.

“We want to bring it back to the basics and connect with people around us in person.”

The magic all happens at the welcoming, spacious studio in the Rancho Bernardo Plaza. Kimberly and her husband and co-owner Joel have long had a passion for dance – they and their staff have a combined 30+ years of experience in the business – and they’re committed to sharing that passion with the community. “We believe dancing is good for the mind, body, and soul and allows you to connect personally, emotionally, and socially, which is slowly slipping away from us as we advance in our technology,” Kimberly said. “We want to bring it back to the basics and connect with people around us in person.”

Grand Opening on Jan.12
Free and open to the public! Dance floor, music,
refreshments from 6 to 9 p.m.

The studio opened in October 2018 and is already creating those connections. Kimberly, Joel, and the Trilogy Ballroom team have participated in charity events and have an aspiration to help the next generation experience dance, hopefully through collaborations with the surrounding schools. Upcoming events include a sponsorship for Poway OnStage’s Motown with a Twist in March and Dancing With Our Stars at California Center for the Arts in Escondido in April.

Kimberly hinted that there’s still more in store at Trilogy Ballroom – but for now, her lips are sealed. “We don’t want to give away any surprises, but we are certain you will be hearing about Trilogy Ballroom a lot more this year!” she said. “If you want more information about what we are up to, you will have to come by the studio to find out!”
