The Friends of the Rancho Bernardo Library are hosting an entertaining duet on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 6:15 p.m. The free concert will feature San Diego Symphony principal double bassist Jeremy Kurtz-Harris and award-winning pianist Ines Irawati, performing original works for bass and piano as well as Robert Schumann’s Fantasy Pieces.

Jeremy has been principal bassist of the San Diego Symphony since 2004, and is on the music faculty at San Diego State University. He’s performed in venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, La Jolla SummerFest, San Diego’s Art of Elan Series, and the Verbier Festival in Switzerland.

Ines has won the Marilyn Horne Foundation Best Vocal Pianist Award, as well as prizes at the D’Angelo International Piano Competition, the La Jolla Young Artists Competition, and the Cleveland Institute of Music Concerto Competition. She’s the vocal coach at Point Loma Nazarene University.
