The 8th Annual Safety Fair and First Responder Appreciation BBQ was a great success. The event welcomed community members to browse and explore 29 vendors, more than a dozen vehicles, and attractions including Smokey the Bear, face painting, CPR training, and music by Evolved Music – while showing appreciation for local police and firefighters. “Thank you Nina Nicoletti Mascardo for sharing your wonderful talents in making our new police and firefighter cut outs, Cathy Juan Hou for her face painting artistry, and Troop 680 for all their assistance,” said Robin Kaufman, Rancho Bernardo Community Council President. “We also want to thank Brandy McGuire for the spectacular cake!”

This year’s sponsors were Casa de las Campanas, Silvergate Rancho Bernardo, Cowboy Chicken, San Diego County Credit Union, Waldie Group Real Estate, Wings N Things, Albertsons Rancho Bernardo, Bernardo Heights Country Club, Chick-fil-A Carmel Mountain Ranch, Seacrest Village at Rancho Bernardo, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Souplantation Rancho Bernardo, and The Remington Club.
