If there’s one thing that North County residents enjoy more than the beach, it’s the various cuisine, beverages, and sweet treats throughout San Diego. Here, we offer a taste of some local flavor.

Dining in Del Sur
The recently established Del Sur Town Center is a food-focused community hub in the heart of Del Sur. With eight new restaurants and a few other specialty shops, the center is truly a smorgasbord of options – from Italian to Mediterranean to gastropub fare. Cruise through Del Sur and you’ll no doubt find something to satisfy your appetite.
San Diego locals love their coastal cuisine, so it comes as no surprise that poke is taking America’s Finest City by storm. The Hawaiian dish – pronounced POH-kay – is a raw fish salad typically served with rice and seaweed and is recognized for its health benefits. Next time you’re craving something filling and refreshing, try out one of the many poke shops that have popped up throughout North County.
The Cork & Craft, a local restaurant, winery, and brewery, hosted the Abnormal Fest last month. Arranged by The Fine Tune Academy, the event allowed guests to sip and savor local flavors while several young singers and bands brought down the house with their musical talent.
Satiate your craving at Bernardo Winery’s Sunset ARTWALK, featuring extended Friday hours all summer long. The evening festivities will allow you to taste some of the winery’s renowned wine as well as a variety of cuisine from local food trucks. Enjoy music, art, and shopping as well from 4 to 9 p.m. Admission is free and the whole family is welcome.
