Rancho Bernardo High School (RBHS) will host its annual Grad Nite, a safe and sober celebration for seniors on graduation night in June. Entertainment will include games, rock climbing walls, a photo booth, music, food, and non-alcoholic beverages. The planning and development for the event is a student-wide effort. Underclassman students from all departments collaborate to help put the event together, from designing to building and decorating. “This takes a lot of the set building responsibilities off parents and generates undergraduates’ interest in and excitement for Grad Nite,” said Grad Nite Chair Alicia Simmons. “When they become seniors, they know their peers will be planning a celebration for them. It is a whole new meaning for Bronco Spirit.”

RBHS requires at least $20,000 to produce the event. Upcoming fundraisers include a shred-a-thon and e-waste recycling event at the school on May 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Community members are also welcome to help construct and decorate the gym on June 3 and 4.
