Youth Philharmonic Orchestra Soloists to Perform in Rancho Bernardo on June 17
The Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (YPO) Soloists Ensemble will present Béla Bartok’s Divertimento at the Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church, 17010 Pomerado Rd., on Friday, June 17 at 7 p.m. They will also perform Spanish composer Pablo de Sarasates’s Navarre and Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C Major. Under the baton of YPO Artistic Director and Conductor Alyze Dreiling, the award-winning Soloists Ensemble will perform music composed by Bartók in an era that dramatically changed the face of music in the 20th century. Sharing the program is the YPO/Palomar Percussion Ensemble, directed by Heather Barclay.
This concert is free and open to the public. YPO is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the musical, social, and intellectual growth of young musicians of all ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds, through inspired instruction, dynamic ensemble rehearsals, and exceptional performances.
