The Highland Ranch Educational Foundation recently hosted its 5th Annual Silent and Live Auction – a 1920s-inspired Gatsby Gala. Women arrived in flapper dresses, feathers, and pearls, escorted by men in fedora hats, bow ties, and suspenders. Two Model Ts parked outside the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo offered a stylish opportunity for photos and rides. Local news anchor Heather Meyers served as emcee, and live auction highlights included a condo in Maui for a week and a penthouse timeshare in Cabo for a week. “It was a fun evening with 99 amazing silent auction items from local businesses,” shared Andrea Burgan, who co-chaired the event with Heather Brinkley. “We are pleased to announce that the $20,500 we raised will go towards funding our science and PE teachers for another school year! Thank you to all who participated and supported the children of Highland Ranch Elementary.”
