Businesses, universities, and professionals are inviting the community to explore local innovations and discoveries for the weeklong San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering. The festival, a program of the BIOCOM Institute in partnership with UC San Diego, Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, and the San Diego County Office of Education, will run from March 14 through 21 and aims to get kids excited about science and related fields. All events are free to the public.

One open house is right here in Rancho Bernardo, at the Cymer headquarters on March 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. Imagination Innovation at Cymer is recommended for ages 11 to 14 and their families and will give participants a chance to meet Cymer employees and learn how light courses and semiconductor chips impact their everyday lives. There are six stations with educational, hands-on activities to let kids explore different aspects of science and technology. RSVP at cymer_community@cymer.com.
