Elizabeth Podsiadlo, San Diego’s Opera Singing Chef, returns to PowPAC’s stage with her musical friends (including Peggy Watson) for an evening titled Sweet Nothings, featuring songs and poetry that are fun, funny and (possibly) even a little romantic. Join PowPAC for a wonderful celebration of love and laughter, just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Podsiadlo grew up in West Virginia where she was influenced by both Appalachian folk music and classical (her mother was a concert pianist). She is known in San Diego County as the “Opera Singing Chef,” as she taught cooking and music classes and entertained audiences with both opera and folk music for more than 15 years. She is the author of two culinary mystery novels, Talking Pictures and The Last Aria, and produced and recorded two CDs featuring folk and classical music. Elizabeth starred in 12 cooking shows – Cooking with the Opera Singing Chef (PACE TV) – which aired on Cox and Time Warner public access stations in 2011 and 2012. Currently Elizabeth appears as a regular guest on San Diego Living (Channel 6) and continues to entertain through her cooking classes and speaking engagements.

Sweet Nothings is the fourth production in PowPAC’s new “Guest Performers Series,” which brings a variety of local talent to the PowPAC stage. The show will be presented one weekend only—Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m.—so get your tickets early at www.PowPAC.org.
