Westfield is pleased to announce the Tuesday, November 26th opening of the new Cheesecake Factory restaurant at Westfield North County in Escondido, California.

“Westfield North County is a wonderful mall with an impressive roster of tenants. We are pleased to be opening our first Cheesecake Factory in north San Diego County and look forward to serving guests from the local community,” said Alethea Rowe, Senior Director of Public Relations, The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated. Known for its generous portions and extensive menu, The Cheesecake Factory offers more than 250 menu options, including more than 50 lower calorie “SkinnyLicious®” selections. All menu items are made fresh, from scratch and in-house. Last year, the restaurant’s signature cheesecakes and desserts were distinguished as America’s “best desserts” in Zagat’s National Restaurant Chains Survey.

In addition to providing new dining opportunities at Westfield North County, The Cheesecake Factory has created much-needed jobs for the local economy. On average The Cheesecake Factory hires 300 new staff members for each restaurant location. The Cheesecake Factory at Westfield North County will accommodate approximately 260 guests, with more than 200 indoor seats and a 60-seat outdoor patio. The 7,500 square foot space will feature French limestone floors and decorative columns, hand painted murals, contemporary lighting and an abundance of cherry wood.

The Cheesecake Factory is part of a larger revitalization of Westfield North County that includes:
• a new 150,000 square foot, multi-level Target store, which opened in October 2012;
• a revitalized interior of the shopping center, which involved new floor finishes, interior paint and
lighting schemes, furniture, handrails, signage and a children’s play area;
• a new expanded dining court patio with a fire pit, landscaping and lighting; and
• new convenient parking spaces on the north side of the project.

These improvements are the first major renovation at Westfield North County since the mall opened in 1986. The revitalization is also bringing new retailers such as Elixir- Espresso & Wine Bar, Potato Corner, White House l Black Market and Old Navy. In addition, several existing tenants are remodeling their stores to match the center’s updated look.

Located adjacent to the second level mall entrance on the south side of the property between Macy’s and Target, the new Cheesecake Factory will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday. Westfield North County is located at 272 E.
