Sharon Stephens, a resident of 92128, claimed she was “not average”, at six feet tall and full of energy, happiness, and courage. Stephens was a breast cancer fighter, dedicated to the Susan G. Komen foundation and the famed Race for the Cure here in San Diego. Team WWSD, or “What Would Sharon Do?” was formed in 2011 with Sharon at the helm as captain. At the 2011 Race for the Cure, Team WWSD raised over $20,000 due to Sharon’s enthusiasm and with the help of those who loved and admired her.

Sadly, in March 2012, Sharon lost her battle with breast cancer. The 2012 Race for the Cure was dedicated to her, and this year Team WWSD will walk/run in the 2013 Race for the Cure. Join Team WWSD and donate to Susan G. Komen San Diego at www.komensandiego.org.
